📷 Photo & Video Release
Professor of Funk occasionally photographs and records video during lessons, rehearsals, recitals, and performances for educational and promotional purposes.
By agreeing, you grant permission for Professor of Funk to:
Photograph and/or video record the student during lessons, rehearsals, and performances
Use these images and recordings on the Professor of Funk website, social media accounts, and promotional materials
Use these materials for educational content (e.g., lesson recaps, progress showcases)
Images and recordings will be used tastefully and in a positive, educational context. No images will be sold to third parties. You may revoke this consent at any time by notifying your instructor in writing.
📋 Lesson Policies
Scheduling & Cancellations
Lessons are scheduled weekly at a recurring day and time.
To cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours notice via text or email.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged at the full lesson rate.
Makeup lessons are offered when scheduling permits, at the instructor's discretion.
If the instructor cancels, the lesson will be rescheduled or credited — no charge.
Payment Terms
Tuition is billed monthly based on lessons attended.
Payment is due upon receipt of the monthly invoice.
Accepted methods: Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, or check.
Accounts past due by more than 30 days may result in suspension of lessons until the balance is resolved.
Student Expectations
Students are expected to practice regularly between lessons.
Bring your instrument (if applicable) and any assigned materials to each lesson.
Respectful behavior toward the instructor, other students, and equipment is required.
Withdrawal
To withdraw from lessons, please provide at least 2 weeks written notice.
Any outstanding balance must be settled upon withdrawal.
🛡️ Liability Waiver
Professor of Funk takes reasonable precautions to ensure a safe environment for all students. However, participation in music lessons, rehearsals, performances, and related events involves inherent risks.
By signing, you acknowledge and agree that:
You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in lessons, rehearsals, recitals, and performances, including travel to and from events.
Professor of Funk (Simon Keyser-Petty) shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage to personal property occurring during lessons or events.
You are responsible for informing the instructor of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs that may affect the student's participation.
For students under 18, the parent/guardian assumes responsibility for drop-off, pick-up, and supervision outside of lesson time.
