Learn music, not just mechanics.

Guitar is one of the world's most expressive instruments — capable of rhythm, melody, and harmony all at once. Simon's a working guitarist, producer, and educator rooted in funk and soul, so you learn the guitar the way it's actually played on records: with feel, dynamics, and intention behind every note.

Whether you want to jam with friends, compose your own music, or just finally nail the songs you love — fundamentals first, music always.

Guitar Lessons FAQ

What styles of guitar do you teach?

Acoustic and electric across funk, soul, R&B, jazz, rock, and folk. Fingerstyle, pick technique, and rhythm foundations. The focus is on developing feel and taste — you'll learn to comp chords and craft solos that serve the music.

How long until I can play a song?

Most beginners can play a recognizable progression within the first few lessons. Within a month of consistent practice you'll have several songs in your repertoire and be ready to jam with others.

Do I need my own guitar?

Not for the trial lesson — a guitar is available at the studio. If you continue, Simon can recommend beginner instruments; there are solid acoustic and electric options under $300 that will serve you well for years.
