Bring your friends, family, or bandmates. Build skills together with structured instruction at a fraction of the private rate.
2–7 students per group · Flat $100 / student / lesson · Sliding scale available
Music is a social art. Group lessons harness that energy — students motivate each other, learn from peers, and build something together.
Whether it's a family learning music together, friends picking up an instrument, or a band solidifying their foundation, group lessons offer structured instruction at a fraction of the private lesson cost.
You get the same curriculum, practice plans, and progress tracking as private students — just with peers alongside you. The accountability, encouragement, and fun of learning together makes the experience richer.
A group is more than a discount — it changes how you learn.
Shared progress and the energy of a group keeps everyone showing up and practicing — even on weeks when motivation dips.
From week one you're working on ensemble skills — locking in, listening to others, building a sound that's bigger than any one player.
Friendships form through playing together. Music classes turn into a band, a study group, a circle.
Same per-person price whether your group is 2 or 7. No bundle pricing, no tiered packages — just a straightforward rate that scales with your group.
Cost shouldn't be a barrier. If $100/lesson doesn't work for your situation, reach out — Simon will work to meet your group where you're at.
Group lessons work best when students are learning the same instrument or complementary instruments. Bass, drums, guitar, keys, voice, and violin are all available. We can mix instruments (e.g., bass + drums duo) if you'd like to learn how to play together. Discuss your group's interests when you reach out.
Group lessons are structured instruction. You'll work on fundamentals, technique, and repertoire together — building skills as a unit. Everyone gets personal attention and feedback. Unlike a rehearsal, there's a curriculum and learning objectives. The social energy is the bonus.
Both work. If you come with your own group (friends, family, existing band members), great — we'll build a curriculum around your shared goals. If you're interested in joining an existing group or scheduling, reach out and we can explore options.
Groups work best when students are within a few years of each other in age or skill level. We have groups of kids (elementary through high school), teens, adults, and mixed-family groups. As long as everyone is learning together and motivated, the exact age doesn't matter.
$100 per student per lesson, flat — same per-person price whether your group is 2 or 7. Cost shouldn't be a barrier; if the rate doesn't work for your situation, reach out and Simon will work to meet you where you're at.
Yes, but there's a limit. A beginner and intermediate player on the same instrument can work well together — the more advanced player helps set the standard, the beginner learns by example. A mix of absolute beginners and advanced players gets harder to manage. Tell Simon about your group's mix when you reach out so he can tailor the approach.
